Ingredient Notes
Here are all the ingredients you'll need to make this chocolate strawberry yogurt clusters recipe:

- Chopped fresh strawberries and/or raspberries—any chopped berry will work in this recipe. Use your favorite or whichever is in season! Use fresh and not frozen, as they will be too watery.
- Plain greek yogurt—I recommend a thick Skyr or Greek yogurt. I use low fat yogurt but higher fat yogurt will also have a creamier texture.
- Honey—or maple syrup for a subtle sweetness.
- Vanilla extract & cinnamon—for a little extra flavor in the yogurt mixture.
- Vanilla protein powder—I add a little whey protein for more vanilla flavor and to amp up the protein content. A plant-based protein will work too. I like to use premier protein vanilla milkshake whey protein powder.
- Chocolate chips—I recommend dark or semisweet, but any chocolate will work!
- Coconut oil—to thin out the melted chocolate for dipping.
Substitutions
Want to change up the flavor? Here are some substitution suggestions:
- Use any fruit! Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, chopped kiwi, mango, grapes, etc. Just about any fresh fruit will work.
- Change the protein powder. For more chocolate flavor, you can use chocolate protein powder instead of vanilla. A unique flavor like marshmallow flavored protein powder or salted caramel protein powder would be extra delicious! Add a scoop of collagen powder instead—you won't taste it.
- Use a different chocolate like white chocolate or milk chocolate. Or an alternating drizzle would be delicious.
- Add nut butter, granola, cookie butter, chopped nuts, chia seeds, or oats to the yogurt filling for a different flavor and health benefits.

(4) Dip the frozen yogurt clusters into the chocolate and place back on the prepared baking sheet. Once dipped, freeze again for 10-20 minutes until the chocolate is set.
Enjoy immediately or place the clusters in an airtight container and store in the freezer. Let each frozen yogurt cluster sit at room temperature for 15 minutes for optimal texture before eating.

Storage & Freezing
Store clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to thaw before eating for optimal texture.
Expert Tips
Here are some of my tips and tricks for making chocolate-covered yogurt bites:
- Use any chopped fruit or berries that are fresh. Frozen fruit would release too much liquid for this recipe.
- Higher fat yogurt will yield a creamier texture.
- Ensure clusters have enough time to freeze solid before dipping in the chocolate. Also ensure your chocolate isn't too hot or the clusters could fall apart.
- Add more coconut oil to the chocolate if it is too thick for dipping.
- Change up the flavor by using chocolate protein powder or another flavor, and adding mix-ins like peanut butter or chia seeds.
- Allow clusters to thaw for 15 minutes before consuming for optimal texture.
Frequently Asked Questions
I like to use a vanilla whey protein powder because I think it tastes the best. You can use any vanilla protein powder that you like in this recipe—whey, casein, soy, pea.
Freeze the yogurt-berry mixture for about 1 hour before dipping in the chocolate. After coating in chocolate, freeze for 10-20 minutes just until set, then you should be able to enjoy them! Return to the freezer in an airtight container for storage up to 1 month.

These chocolate covered yogurt bites went viral for a reason! Fresh fruit in a creamy yogurt filling, coated in crispy dark chocolate—name a better healthy treat. With over 6g of protein per bite, they'll satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you satiated.
