Ingredients

  • 1 cup funfetti cake mix 130g
  • 1 cup plain non fat greek yogurt 245g
  • 1 cup light cool whip 90g
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 30g
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • Animal crackers, teddy grahams, or fruit for serving

Instructions

  • First, heat treat the cake mix to make it safe to consume. Pour the cake mix into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, then heat for another 30 seconds. Repeat until a probe thermometer measures 165ºF, about 90 seconds total. Set aside to cool.
  • In a medium size mixing bowl, stir together the greek yogurt, cool whip, protein powder, vanilla extract, sweetener, and cake mix until thoroughly combined. Transfer to a clean serving bowl.
  • Serve immediately or for best results and a thicker texture, refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with animal crackers, teddy grahams, graham crackers, or fruit for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • I use Premier Protein Vanilla Milkshake flavored whey protein powder. You could omit the protein powder if you wish and the dip will taste just as good.
  • I recommend refrigerating the dip for at least 1 hour so allow the cake mix to hydrate and thicken the texture. It also tastes delicious cold.
