Servings: 1 sandwich
Calories: 730kcal
- 1 crusty Italian roll or ciabatta bun
- 1 tablespoon spicy pepper spread or Italian bomba
- 2 slices provolone cheese
- 4 slices hot salami
- 4 slices Genoa salami
- 2 slices hot mortadella
- 1 tablespoon muffuletta or gardineira
Slice the bun in half horizontally. If it's fresh, no need to toast it unless you prefer.
Spread the spicy pepper spread on both sides of the bread. From the bottom, layer the provolone cheese, both types of salami, and mortadella. Spoon some muffuletta or giardiniera on top of the mortadella, along with its delicious oil.
Place the top half of the bun on top, slice in half if required, and enjoy!
- Bread: Use any crusty bun like an Italian roll, sourdough roll, or ciabatta roll.
- Meats: You can add any other Italian deli meats you like.
- Gluten free: Use a gluten-free ciabatta bun like the ones from Schar. All other ingredients are likely GF already, just check the meat ingredients.
- For meal prep: Prepare the sandwich then cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Keep cool before eating for lunch the next day. Ensure you use a crusty bread so it does not get soggy.
