Equipment

  • High-power blender

Ingredients

  • 4 oz Aperol
  • 6 oz prosecco
  • 1 cup frozen orange juice cubes
  • ½ cup ice
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum optional, see note below
  • 2 orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to the bucket of a high powered blender. Blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth.
  • Pour into two coupe glasses and garnish with half an orange slice. Enjoy responsibly!

Notes

  • Xanthan gum is often used in frappuccinos to avoid the separation that happens when they start melting. A little bit keeps the frozen drink homogenous. If you don't have it, it won't taste any different, you will just have to stir the drink back together every so often.
  • My favorite high powered blenders are the ZWILLING ENFINIGY power blender, and the Vitamix E310.
