Cut the beef small and brown it on all sides in a large pot.

Remove the beef and sauté the vegetables.

Add the tomato paste and spices to toast for 1 minute.

Deglaze with the gluten-free stout and beef broth. Boil then simmer for 2 hours and 15 minutes, covered.

Make the shortcrust pastry and refrigerate until needed.

Stir together water and cornstarch. Add to the pot and cook for 15 more minutes. Set aside to cool.

Spoon the cool filling into individual pie places or soup dishes.

Roll out the pastry and place on top of the dish. Crimp and slice a steam vent. Egg wash.
