Mix the yeast, honey, and warm water. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Add the flour, 1 cup at a time. Halfway through, mix in the salt. Start with a fork.

Once the dough is thick, switch to kneading until smooth on a floured surface.

Place the dough in a bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm place.

Divide the dough into 6 equal sizes and knead into smooth balls, then poke with a finger to make the bagel shape.

Allow to rise again.

Boil the bagels briefly in a water bath with honey.
